2011 Alaska Cruise Day 1

While we were eating a wonderful dinner, the Stampin’ Up elves left a lil’ somethin’ in our room. It’s an adorable charcoal grey hipster purse.

So far, the sea has been a little rougher than we thought. Many people who have cruised to Alaska told us it would be the smoothest cruise yet, however the ship has been really rocking during the first part of our trip. It’s hit me pretty hard, and I’ve spent a good portion of the day eating rolls, mashed potatoes and trying not to let it get the best of me.

Although feeling very green, I was delighted to see some sneak peeks at General Session of some new things coming out soon in the new catalong. I know you will love them, too! I can show you some stamped samples beginning June 1, so check back here then.

I have a few current ideas to share from our Summer Mini Catalog! Shelli Gardner shared these on stage this am:

Tomorrow this ship will stop in Ketchikan! Looking forward to land!

Eat raw apples. Best advice I’ve ever received regarding sea sickness. It REALLY works (better then any of the meds)

We took this same cruise last Aug. and it was smooth sailing on the inland passage and ‘hot’ temp.s in the 80’s…however when we went on the ‘outside’ on the way back it did get choppy…try eating sushi and drinking ramos fizz yummy and easy on the tummy…have fun

Hope you are feeling better! We we took that cruise it was rough for the first couple days and then smoothed out. I am sure each one is different. I would do the lumberjack show if you get a chance –it was good. We did the train ride in Skagway as well to White Pass and the Yukon Route. It is a great trip. I LOVE the hipster purse–so cute and useful! Have fun!

Hope you feel better Linda. Try to stay on dry land as long as you can when you dock, it’ll help get your bearings back. Also ask if they have any phenergan or zofran on the ship. That will help tremendously. Happy Cruising!!
