Holiday Catalog Ornament 2 Videos!

First, for the Florida locals! I have updated my class schedule so be sure to stop by here and see what you’d like to attend in the next month or so:  http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/lindaheller/events

I’ve received SO many requests for making the ornamant on the cover of the Stampin’ Up Holiday catalog.   Lots here from my blog, from my customers and on Stamping School, also.  It’s really beautiful and it’s not as complicated as it looks although a little time consuming with all the stamping and cutting out with the framelits.   I had very little directions from SU so I just played around with how to do it my way 🙂

I did add a few rhinestones in the cherry cobbler tulle ribbon.   Here is the back that I would personalize to put on a present, bottle of wine or wrapped gift or tree ornament gift:

I also made another version that is a lot quicker without the stamping, so be sure to watch that one after the first one.   p.s. the first one is 19 minutes…even with editing, it’s a long one!

p.s. Stamping School Members…this is going up for you this weekend with the recipe sheets and cutting measurements.

Linda

Here is my quickie version, more vintage without glitter (except champagne mist/alchohol spray) and no stamping:

And here is my video for how to make a quickie version if you need to make lots of them!

Florida locals – quite a few of you asked to do this as a class – let me know if you still want to do it after watching the videos LOL

Linda, leave it to you to make this such a simple task. I am teaching my downlines the how to of this project this weekend and I feel really confident I can do the ornament justice. I am also teaching this project as a class for the Rec Center so I will precut all my pieces prior to class using DSP. Thanks for all you do!

  2. it’s definately a LOT faster with just the dsp! I still love the stamped version tho LInda

    Linda,
Thanks for the videos. I tried to make one of the ornaments last week, and never did get it finished. I have ordered the silicone mat, which looks like it will help a lot. Thank you for giving us such great instructions and ideas.
    Nancy Parris

  4. the silicone sheet does help although you can do it without if you have to. Where did you run into trouble with yours?

  5. Bernadette says:

Great instructional videos, Linda! I was thinking what you taught on the second one, why not just use the DSP. Although the stamped one is over the top, the one made with DSP is more “assembly line” friendly. I plan on making those for my 7 children and their families, so this is workable for me. Thanks for sharing you never ending talent. BernieB
